An electric car powered only by two pieces of the Oxyride dry battery AA developed by Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. Ltd. during its test run in Tokyo Friday, Dec. 10, 2004. The new battery that delivers 1.5 times the power of a regular alkaline battery will go on sale in the United States and Europe in April 2005, the Japanese electronics maker said.
